Marginally disappointed that you did not include in your "recent books" list last September my 9th edition of "Materials Science for Dentistry", published May 2009: http://www.woodheadpublishing.com/en/book.aspx?bookID=1547
BW Darvell
Thanks for letting me know, Prof. Darvell. I, too, am surprised that I didn't include your book in the list, particularly, since it was the only book on dental materials that I cited several times whilst writing my PhD thesis.
I've updated the list http://dental-materials.blogspot.com/2010/09/recent-books-on-dental-materials-ii.html
With best wishes
Vesna
Many thanks for that - and the kind words, much appreciated. I am glad it was useful.
Readers of this blog might like to note that there is discussion of content and related material at the Yahoo! Group: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/DentMatSci/join
Since the book is under continuous development (work on the 10th edition started immediately!), all feedback - positive or negative, suggestions and omissions - is welcome.
Thanks again,
BWD
In my PhD thesis, I only cited "Materials Science for Dentistry", Craig's book, Phillip's book and O'Brien's book.
Hi,
I have made the "Glossary" available FoC:
http://kuniv.academia.edu/BrianWDarvell/Books/1178683/Glossary_of_Terms_for_Dental_Materials_Science_11th_ed

I hope it is useful, but (as ever) feedback is invited.
